“Satsang is the invitation to step into the fire of self-discovery.

This fire will not burn you, it will burn only what you are not.” -Mooji

In yoga, a spiritual talk with a yoga master is called a satsang.  Satsang is a Sanskrit word meaning “in the company of truth.” Sat means truth, sanga means to be associated with a group. So, satsang is a group of people who are all interested in seeking truth.

Swami Nirmalananda is a monk in the Saraswati order. She would like to share her divine knowledge, as well as teach mantra and meditation through a free workshop; Satsang with Swami Nirmalananda. Swami Nirmalananda will approach these concepts in a very personal way through her humor and caring presence. She welcomes new people as well as those who are already familiar with Satsang. You will be encouraged to chant yogic mantras to promote inspiring thoughts and feelings. Her sastang program will include a dialogue as well as group chanting and meditation.

Some true benefits from Satsang include the opportunity to reinforce your values and what serves you peace, to learn from an expert like Swami Nirmalananda to gain wisdom from those around you and to become less distracted from things in your life that may not “lift you up.” It will give you a chance to offer encouragement and pass it on to others. Satsang uplifts those who participate while blessing the place in which they’re organized and held.

When you’re in a room with such positive energy, it’s hard not to be immersed in it. Take a moment to put yourself first and let the true “you” shine. Come join us on Friday, May 18th at 7:30 PM for this FREE Satsang. Visit http://bldg7yoga.com/events/workshops/ to sign up and secure your spot!
